Born June 21, 1923, in Cresbard, South Dakota, she was the daughter of Nels and Ethel (Clarke) Hendrickson. She was a graduate of Elkton Public Schools. Priscilla married Harold Rubin at the Dexter United Methodist Church on Sept. 29, 1946.

Priscilla and Harold lived in the Dexter and Elkton area for many years. For a brief time, they lived in Rogers, Arkansas, before returning to Austin. Priscilla moved to The Cedars in 2006 and made it her new home. Being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother brought Priscilla happiness throughout her life. As a homemaker, she enjoyed cooking and baking. She had a wonderful circle of friends and enjoyed sharing a good joke. Priscilla was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Elkton, Minnesota, where she participated in Ladies Day Circle and served on the Altar Guild. She was also a member of the Austin Red Hat Society, and served as a third floor councilwoman and exercise leader at The Cedars.

She is survived by her children: David (Donna) Rubin of Chester Springs, Pennsylvania, Marjorie (Richard) Accurso of Celina, Tennessee, Mary DeGrand of Rochester, Minnesota, William Rubin of North Hudson, Wisconsin, Robert “Bob” (Tina) Rubin of Mt. Zion, Illinois, and Alice (Dave) Dawson of Fayetteville, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank personal assistant Barb (Phil) Selmecki of Austin, Minnesota; close personal friends Kenneth and Betty Klaehn of Austin, Minnesota; staff members and friends of The Cedars of Austin, Minnesota; and the Mayo Clinic Health System – Austin Hospice.

Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents, Nels and Ethel (Clarke) Hendrickson, Hot Springs, South Dakota; her husband, Harold Rubin, Austin, Minnesota; infant son John Rubin, Dexter, Minnesota; her brother and sister-in-law, Edgar and Deloris Hendrickson Janesville, Minnesota; and her son-in-law Steven DeGrand.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Elkton, with Pastor Liz Erickson officiating. Interment will be at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be at Worlein Funeral Home on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016, from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be no reviewal at the church.
