Patricia Ruth Benson, 79, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, at St. Mary’s hospital in Rochester.

Patricia was born Sept. 10, 1936, to Marshall and Viola Anderson in Austin. On Oct. 9, 1955, she married Paul Benson at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin, Minnesota. She resided for 55 years in Rochester. She worked as a food service cook at Rochester Public schools for 17 years.

Patricia is survived by three children: son Dave (Deb) Benson of Fairbanks, Alaska, Kathy Moon of Des Moines, Iowa, and Bryan Benson of Minnetonka, Minnesota; seven grandchildren; and two sisters: Karen Sorenson of Hayward, Minnesota, and Marilyn Hackensmith of Austin, Minnesota.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one brother and one sister.

Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Zumbro Lutheran Church with funeral immediately following, led by the Rev. Jason Bryan-Wagner. Luncheon following funeral service at Zumbro Lutheran Church. Memorials will be given to Zumbro Lutheran Church or Pleasant Prairie Dale Cemetery.
