Skate in the new year with friends, family or that special someone who can catch you when you fall. The rink costs $4 to skate and $1 to rent skates. For more information, call 507-433-1881.

3. Dinner/Ventura Highway Concert

5:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Austin VFW Post 1216

Come enjoy dinner from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The menu includes a burger, fish or tenderloin baskets, and reservations are encouraged. The dinner is open to the public and is a fundraising event for VFW sponsored events. For more information or to make a reservation, call 507-433-6039.

4. Deeper 2016

7 p.m.-12 a.m. Thursday, Bethlehem Free Methodist Church

This event provides games, live music, fellowship and a lot of good food to bring in the new year. The band Bentley & Company will be featured, along with the Faith Youth Ministry Band, Evan Koehler, and Chloe Hope. The event is free and open to everyone. For more information, call 507-433-3705.
