Tessa Mae (Ingebritson) Martin, 35, of Rochester, Minnesota, passed away very peacefully at her home on Nov. 20, 2015, with her family by her side.

Tessa Mae was born on Dec. 13, 1979, in Rochester to David and Ava Ingebritson. She graduated from John Marshall High School in 2000. She worked at Burr Oak School and John Marshall High School before starting her own daycare business. On Aug. 11, 2007, she married Tim Martin in Rochester at the family home. Tessa loved children and strived to keep running the daycare even after her diagnosis with cancer. She was a spitfire and persevered long into her illness. She was the mother of three beautiful children and they were the center of her life. Tessa was a beautiful woman who was loyal to all those who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Tim; her three children: Griffin, Paris, and Faith; her sister: Tarin (Jesse) Brady of Austin; her parents Dave and Ava of Rochester; her nieces and nephews: Chance, Gavin and Karina Brady; her brother-in-laws: Doug and Jerry; and her mother and father-in-law, Rose Plank and Richard Martin; and her maternal grandmother: Loretta Askerud of Austin, Minnesota.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Harry-O Askerud; her paternal grandparents Red and Pearl Ingebritson; and her uncle, Myron Heimer.

The memorial mass for Tessa will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church of Rochester with the Rev. Thomas Loomis officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the mass. A private family burial of Tessa’s ashes will take place at a later date. Memorials are preferred to the family.
