Boys basketball: Houston edges past Grand Meadow in OT

The Grand Meadow boys basketball team lost its season opener 73-69 in overtime to Houston (3-0 overall, 3-0 SEC) on the road Monday.

Reid Buschmann led GM (0-1 overall, 0-1 SEC) with 20 points. The Superlarks jumped out to an 11-2 lead to start the game.

“We had a really good start, we just couldn’t push the lead,” GM head coach Bob Burmester said. “We had had some bad turnovers and it was a battle the rest of the way.”
