The No. 6 seeded Lyle-Pacelli football team had its season end in a 73-28 loss at No. 3 Mabel-Canton (7-2 overall) in a Section 1 nine man quarterfinal game Wednesday.

Brady Lester threw for three TDs and he had a rushing TD for LP. Jordan Cotter caught two TDs and Daniel Bollingberg had one TD catch.

“I think we had a good season. We improved over last year and we’ve gotten a little better,” LP head coach Jeremy Wilson said. “It’s never fun watching seniors play their last game, but I think we had a good season overall and our kids seemed to have fun.”

LP (2-7 overall) had lost its regular season contest 70-32 to MC.
