Bruins blast Brookings in Riverside

The Austin Bruins took care of the Brookings Blizzard 6-3 in their home opener in Riverside Arena Saturday.

The Bruins (5-3 overall) opened with an exclamation point as they scored four goals in the oppening period and never looked back.

Kristofer Carlson had 27 saves in the win for Austin.
