OTSEGO — Wright County authorities say a body has been recovered from the Mississippi River in an area of Otsego where searchers had been looking for a Monticello man who had been missing since Saturday.

Sheriff Joe Hagerty says a man’s body was pulled from the river about 11:30 a.m. Thursday. It was found by volunteers who had been looking for 23-year-old Joseph Brunn. He was last seen leaving a bar early Saturday, heading to a nearby hotel, but never made it there. His family says he was at a wedding before he disappeared. Hundreds of searchers have combed the area over the last several days.

Brunn’s family planned to address the media on Thursday afternoon from their search headquarters near the Holiday Inn in Otsego.
