Rushford-Peterson gets past Southland football team

The Southland football team lost 27-14 to Rushford-Peterson (3-3 overall) in Adams Friday.

The Rebels (2-4 overall) had a touchdown pass called back due to a penalty and they dropped a TD pass in the loss. Southland took a 14-13 lead early in the second half, but the Trojans responded when Noah Carlson ran the ensuing kick-off back for a TD and RP led the rest of the way.

“It’s frustrating, because the last two weeks we should’ve won both games. We’re just shooting ourselves in the foot,” Southland head coach Shawn Kennedy said.
