Austin All Stars youth baseball will hold fall tryouts for the first time in its 37-year history this year.

The All Stars will hold tryouts Sept. 26 and 27, due to availability of the dome at Wescott Athletic Complex this winter. The All Stars are looking to be able to use the dome, so they need their teams set before it goes up.

“The board decided to hold fall trouts as most cities are now doing,” said state board chairman Jeff Yocom. “It will also give the coaches a chance to hold a couple of practice sessions in the winter months.”
