Alumni Update: May grabs a TD in loss for WSU

FOOTBALL

Southland grad Alan May had a big day as Winona State University lost 31-20 to St. Cloud State University Saturday.

May hauled in seven passes for 126 yards and one TD and he had three punt returns for 15 yards.

On the season, May leads the Warriors (2-2 overall) with 26 catches, 430 yards and 3 TDs.

Grand Meadow grad Caleb Leichtnam had 1 tackle, 1 interception and 1 pass defensed for Southwest Minnesota State University in a 48-9 win over MSU Moorhead Saturday.

Leichtnam ran the interception back 32 yards and he now has 2 interceptions, 32 tackles, and four passes defensed not the season for the Mustangs (4-0 overall).

VOLLEYBALL

Austin grad Alex Hansen is second on Bethan Lutheran with 127 kills in 15 matches this season for Bethany Lutheran (4-11 overall). Hansen has 79 digs and 16 blocks.

Hayfield grad Abby Blanchard had 16 digs for Briar Cliff University as it lost in four sets to No. 21 ranked Hastings College Sept. 26.

Blanchard is a senior outside hitter with the Chargers (). She was named an NAIA Scholar Athlete in her junior season, when she had 61 kills and 68 digs.

Hayfield grad Jessie Foster has 111 digs, 504 set assists and 26 kills in 18 matches at RCTC this season. Hayfield grad Jo Bungum has 74 kills and 108 digs for the Yellowjackets (12-6 overall).

Blooming Prairie grad Nicole Inwards has 66 digs and a serving percentage of 96 in seven matches (6-9 overall) this season for Concordia River Forest College in Chicago.
