Superlarks cruise past Burros in opener

The Grand Meadow football team opened its season with a dominant victory, but it suffered some injuries in Lanesboro Saturday.

The Superlarks (1-0 overall) led 45-0 at the half and they beat the Burros (0-1 overall) 49-14.

Trent Tangen, Blake Benson, Christophor Bain and Zach Myhre all left the game with injuries. Myhre, who had 158 yards of offense and three TDs, and Bain were not considered to be dealing with serious injuries, but Benson and Tangen may be out for an undetermined amount of time, depending on the prognosis.

GM senior Michael Stejskal had a big day as he threw for 135 yards and two touchdowns, ran for 70 yards and a touchdown and returned a kickoff 75 yards for a touchdown.
