As we look back at the two trips last month, we are grateful for the nice weather with great folks on some fun times.

On July 16, we had our Mystery Meal and what would it be? This year, we planned a close trip to Albert Lea to the “South Pacific.”

We looked around for ideas for some beautiful flower and lawn ideas and a dinner to go along with the “South Pacific” theme. What could be better that supporting our home town with Hawaiian cuisine at the Hormel Historic Home. It was a surprise indeed, but our guests went along with it and it couldn’t have been a better choice.

“South Pacific” at the Marion Ross Theater in Albert Lea was up to the usual greatness. Including local talent from Austin and a former Austin sports announcer made it even more of a special event. Attending another night was in the works for me with other friends, as it was so enjoyable with a delightful cast.

On July 29, our annual trip to the summer production at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre was nothing short of “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.” “Mary Poppins” won her way into our hearts with her delightful way as a nanny in this Walt Disney musical. It was another superb production which the Chanhassen dinner theater is so well-known for.
