Our Savior’s Lutheran Church will hold its annual worship at the fair Sunday, Aug. 16, at the Mower County Fairgrounds.

Music will be provided by the gospel bluegrass band Glory Bound at 10:30 a.m., with music starting at 10:15 a.m. at the Fair Square Stage.

The band is made up of five men from St. Paul. Blair Johnson on the banjo/guitar and Steve Sorensen on the electric upright bass are the founding fathers of the band. Other members include Austin native Lee Swenson on the fiddle, Gerry O’Dowd on the mandolin and Jon Storvick on the guitar. All the men sing and contribute vocal leads and harmonies that give their music a gospel feel.

Glory Bound plays for worship services at various churches in the Twin Cities and provide music and leadership at the Union Gospel Mission in St. Paul. Offerings and donations they collect throughout the year are given to the Union Gospel Mission to assist in that ministry to the homeless.

The Fair Square Stage is located next to the horse arena on the south side of Fairgrounds. In case of rain, the service will be held at the church, Our Savior’s Lutheran, 1600 W. Oakland Ave., Austin. The public is invited to the service.
