The Austin girls tennis team lost a pair of matches in its home opener in Paulson tennis courts Thursday.

The Packers lost 6-1 to Rochester Century and they lost 4-3 to Mankato East.
No. 4 singles player Emily Sayles won both of her matches on the day for Austin (0-4 overall, 0-4 Big Nine). No. 2 singles player Mariel Flaherty and the No. 1 doubles team of Elizabeth Ettinger and Taylor Tauchnitz each went 1-1 on the day.
