The Mower County Humane Society and a local business are planning to serve up lunch and help animals be greeted into a new home.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, the Cooperative Response Center (CRC) in Austin will once again host a meet and greet fundraising event to benefit the Mower County Humane Society.

A hotdog lunch will be offered for $4 and door prizes will be available. Adoptable dogs from the Mower County Humane Society will be at the event. Shelter volunteers will be on hand to answer questions about available animals and the importance of adopting a shelter animal. Humane Society merchandise will be available for purchase.

The Cooperative Response Center is located at 2000 8th St. NW, in Austin, east of Wal-Mart. Please stop by, meet some critters, and support the Mower County Humane Society.
