An Austin High School student won a top award at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference.

Corey Todalen of Austin and a student at AHS was awarded the high school gold medal in Graphics Imaging-Sublimation.

Industry leaders representing more than 600 businesses, corporations, trade associations and unions recognized the students for demonstrating excellence in hands-on occupational and leadership competitions, such as robotics, criminal justice, aviation maintenance and public speaking.
