Joining forces with the APD; National Night Out set for Tuesday

The Austin Police Department will recognize this year’s National Night Out this Tuesday with free hot dogs, pop and some family entertainment.
The event takes place from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, at Bandshell Community Park. Police, fire, state patrol and ambulance vehicles, along with the Mayo One helicopter, will be on display.
National Night Out is designed to get more people to interact with police and strengthen community ties.
