Hayfield’s Becker takes 24th, BP’s Christianson takes 12th at Class A state golf meet

Hayfield senior Brady Becker finished in 24th place as he competed in his third and final Minnesota state Class A golf meet in Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker Wednesday.

Becker shot an 80 on Wednesday to finish with a two-day score of 163. Ryan Pederson of United South Central tied for first with Brock Bleise as the two each had a score of146.

Tyler Sloan of Grand Meadow-LeRoy-Ostrander finished tied for 42nd as he shot an 81 for a two-day score of 168 and Hayfield’s Aaron Anderson shot an 89 for a two-day score of 181 and a 69th place finish.

In the Class A girls meet, Blooming Prairie’s Taylor Christianson finished tied for 12th place as she shot an 87 for a two-day score of 173.

Christianson, a sophomore, took 40th in last year’s state meet.

Kiera Smith of Heritage Academy won the Class A girls meet with a 153.
