With warmer temperatures now upon us, we will soon draw near to the close of another school year. District Enrollment staff are already beginning to open the next chapter and are looking forward to the 2015–2016 school year.

While the staff at Austin Public Schools are excited for our graduating seniors to receive their diplomas and move on to new endeavors, we will once again be working to re-enroll and confirm registration for 2015-2016 over the summer with mailings and mass registration dates for both our modified 45/15 calendar and traditional calendar schools.

APS students currently enrolled in grades Pre-K through grade 11 should expect to receive an important mailing regarding 2015-2016 registration over the summer. This registration mailing will include forms for family/student information, computer acceptable use, health plans, food service educational benefits, picture packets and more. It will be important to review these documents and have them completed prior to your scheduled mass registration date listed below.

Families on the 45/15 modified calendar can expect registration packets to arrive by mail shortly after July 10, 2015. The 45/15 modified calendar school registration will be held on July 23, 2015, at Sumner Elementary School during the following times (organized by last name):

Last names “M” through “Z” from 1 to 3:15 p.m.

Last names “A” through “L” from 3:15 – 5:30 p.m.

Families on the traditional calendar can expect registration packets to arrive shortly after July 27, 2015. Mass registration for traditional calendar students will be held on Aug. 12 and 13 at Austin High School. Parents and students may enter through doors No. 7 and No. 13.

Wednesday, Aug. 12 is designated for families with:

Last names “S” – “Z” from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Last names “M” – “R” from noon to 3:30 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 13, is designated for families with:

Last names “F” – “L” from 12:30 to 4 p.m.

Last names “A” – “E” from 4 to 7:30 p.m.

Again this year, if families desire additional support getting their paperwork completed, APS representatives will be available at the Austin Public Library for assistance from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. on July 20 for 45/15 Modified calendar students and again from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 10 for traditional calendar students.
