Minnesota Power to plant 3M trees

TACONITE HARBOR — Minnesota Power plans to spend $1.5 million to plant 3 million trees over the next decade.

The white pine, red pine, jack pine and spruce tree seedlings will be planted on 3,000 acres the company owns throughout northeastern Minnesota.

The company has named the initiative “Rajala Woods” after Jack Rajala He’s a long-time advocate for white pine conservation and forest product businessman.
