A local financial planner is being honored for her philanthropic efforts.

Martha Vrieze Morrison, an associate with Thrivent Financial in Austin, has received the 2014 Voices in Philanthropy (VIP) Award from InFaith Community Foundation in Minneapolis. She was one of only 43 representatives nationwide to be so honored.

Vrieze Morrison is being honored for her service helping clients put their values and charitable goals into action.

Selection was based on total outright and deferred charitable gifts made by Vrieze Morrison’s clients through InFaith in 2014. These gifts will support a variety of local, national and global charities according to each client’s wishes.

InFaith Community Foundation, established in 1995 as Lutheran Community Foundation, is a national charity with a mission to serve donors, spread joy and change lives. Through InFaith, gifts are tailored to each donor’s charitable interests and financial circumstances.
