The public television station got the Commander’s Award for Public Service last week for its work on “The Typist,” a documentary about a former sergeant from Minnesota who served as a typist during the Nuremberg Trials after World War II.

Larry Tillemans grew up in southwestern Minnesota and is the last living typist from the trials. He has shared his story in recent years to help other people remember what happened during the war. Tillemans also received the Commander’s Award for Public Service.
