Published 5:49 pm Saturday, May 23, 2015

At 2 p.m. on Wednesday, the Mower County Historical Society is presenting at the Senior Center. This month, John is going to do a presentation on odd bits of Mower County’s history, such as:

• The Mower County woman who was discovered to have posed as a man and married two women.

• The man buried in Oakwood Cemetery who was convicted of treason during the First World War.

• The Hormel employee who was identified as the heir to an Irish title and fortune, and who then disappeared, and more.

Don’t forget our coffee shop where every day you can have homemade soup for $1 and a sandwich for 50 cents. Tuesday we are having tator tot hotdish for only $2. You are always welcome at the center.
