The No. 2 seeded Hayfield baseball team advanced to the Section 1A west title game when it beat No. 3 Medford 11-1 in Dick Seltz Field Saturday.

The Vikings scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning and they played error-free ball.

Hayfield will play No. 8 Goodhue for the Section 1A West title in Riverland 3 p.m. Monday.
