The Austin baseball team closed out its regular season with a 12-5 win over Northfield (16-4 overall) in Seltz Field Monday.

The Packers (7-11 overall) have now won six of their last nine games and they will open the Section 1AAA tournament Thursday at 5 p.m.

On Monday, Jason Stoulil had three RBIs and Nik Gasner and Riley Wagner each knocked in two runs.

“Offensively they were aggressive and they attacked the ball. They went to the plate with a purpose,” Austin head coach Chris Gogolewski said. “It was a great win for our team.”
