The Blooming Prairie softball team topped Southland (0-4 overall) 4-2 in Rose Creek Thursday.

Sophomore Elly Strunk picked up the win in the circle for BP (2-1 overall) and she also knocked in three runs.

“We played a nice, clean game tonight. The girls gained a lot of confidence and Elly pitched a smart game. She sprayed the hits around and got outs when she needed them,” BP head coach Ali Mach said. “As a whole, I was pleased with the effort the girls gave.”
