The Southland softball team beat Lewiston-Altura (1-6 overall) in Rose Creek Monday.

The Rebels (2-6 overall) committed four errors, but they were able to hang on. Sophomore catcher Ramsey Gilson went 2-for-2 with two walks for Southland.

“Overall I thought we played pretty well,” Southland head coach Greg Schulte said. “There’s still a lot of room for improvement. We’re looking for a game where we don’t have an any errors.”
