Mayo womens’ health symposium returns Saturday

Austin doctors and nurses want to help women stay health

The 16th Women’s Health Care Symposium will be 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Historic Hormel Home, 208 4th Ave. N.W., Austin. Mayo Clinic Health System providers will provide health information on osteoporosis, spine fractures, healthy aging as a woman, and how your care will enhance through care teams.

Presenters include: nurse Lori Fitton on bone health, Dr. Emily Nguyen on osteoporosis and spinal fractures, nurse Shana Salik on healthy aging for women across the lifespan, and Dr. Greg Angstman on the team care approach.

The symposium is worth 2.1 contact hours and has been designated to meet the Minnesota Board of Nursing continuing education requirements — check with your profession to determine if this symposium meets criteria for continuing education. A light breakfast will be served.
