Four Daughters Vineyard & Winery will officially open the doors to its newly built event facility on Saturday.

To show its new event rooms, Four Daughters is hosting tours and serving food samples on Saturday. A special vineyard talk will be held at noon and at 2 p.m., there will be a hosted tour through the new expansion. Food samples will be served up in the tasting room from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The 300-person space will host weddings, corporate events, and parties, and is also functioning as a production space, as it houses more than 100 filled wine barrels.

The room adds production space and event space for the winery.

“We were so busy. There was a need for it,” co-owner Gary Vogt said last December.

The expansion includes the Barrel Room, the smaller Cocktail Room and an expanded kitchen, which will be used for private events and cooking classes. The winery has hosted events since opening, but in the past, used the production space.

As production increased over the past few years and space ran out, and with special events at the winery becoming increasingly popular, the owners saw a need to create more options for guests.

Four Daughters, located a few miles west of Grand Meadow, opened the event space for a New Year’s Eve celebration, but the finishing touches were completed earlier this year, according to Marketing Director Kristin Osborne.

One of the biggest items completed this year was an expansive patio. All along the east side of the Barrel Room, several garage doors can be opened up to a patio running along the new addition and overlooking the vineyard.

“They’ll be able to touch the vines from the patio,” Vogt said last December.
