The Austin boys golf team finished in sixth place in the eight-team Northfield Invite Thursday.

The Packers shot a 354, which was 26 strokes better than their last meet in Northfield, and Nothfield won the meet with a 326.

James Snee led Austin with an 81.

“The guys showed they had learned some things from the first time and they adapted well,” Austin head coach Matt Raso said. “We’re still looking for more scores in the mid 80s. We’re knocking at the door I think and we’re due to bust out soon.”
