The Riverland Community College baseball team opened its season with three wins in four games Vero Beach, Fla. over the weekend.

The Blue Devils (3-1 overall) beat Lafletche 13-0, they topped Massasoit 1-0 and they beat the Ontario Bluejays 12-4. RCC lost 5-4 to Kirkwood, Iowa.

Alex Roosen, a freshman from Kenyon-Wanamingo, pitched a seven-inning shutout to beat Massasoit and he also hit a 400-foot homer in the win over Lafletche.
