The Mower County Coroner’s Office has determined a 59-year-old Lyle woman died of natural causes over the weekend.

Sherry Andow reportedly suffered a brain aneurysm, according to Mower County Sheriff Terese Amazi. Law enforcement believe Andow died of natural causes, though a toxicology report from Andow’s autopsy won’t be available for several weeks.

Andow was found outdoors, partially covered with a blanket wrapped around her at about 1 p.m. Sunday at the 50200 block of 130th Street in rural Lyle. Several of her friends had come over at noon to take several of Andow’s sheep to market but couldn’t find her for more than an hour.

Deputies, the county’s Special Incident Response Team and agents from the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension were on the scene Sunday, according to Amazi.

Andow was known to walk around her property wrapped in a blanket as she didn’t have heating in her home.

She was last seen alive around 9 a.m. Friday, and friends said she’d been sick last week.
