Along with temperatures expected to top 50 degrees next week, Mower County saw another sign of spring Tuesday.

The county board authorized Public Works Director Mike Hanson to get bids on nine upcoming road, bridge and trail projects.

The projects include:

•Bituminous pavement rehabilitation on County State Aid Highway 1 from 640th Avenue to CSAH 10

•Bituminous pavement rehabilitation on CSAH 6 from Highway 105 to Highway 218

•Bituminous pavement rehabilitation on CSAH 16 from County Road 57 to the north county line

•Road reconstruction on CSAH 7 from CSAH 3 to CSAH 13 through Elkton

•A pedestrian bridge for the Shooting Star Trail in Rose Creek City Park

•Shooting Star Trail construction from Rose Creek to County Road 52

•Bridge replacements in Racine, Grand Meadow and Pleasant Valley townships

The county didn’t release estimated costs for the project.
