Wrestling: Packers send four to Section 1AAA semfinals

The Austin wrestling team sent four wrestlers to the semifinals at the Section 1AAA individual meet at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester Friday.
All semifinals and finals matches will be held Saturday.
Brandon Cotter, a senior who is 25-7 at 160, pinned Carson Ties of Rochester Mayo in the first period and he will take on Jake Timm of Winona in the semifinals.
Kole Igou, a senior who is 26-9 at 171, beat Ben Staska of Owatonna 11-1 and he will wrestle Chris Wested of Winona in the semifinals.
Aiden Wilson, a freshman who is 26-12 at 132, pinned Andrew Swenson of Rochester Century in the quarterfinals and he will wrestle Justin Tacheny of Owatonna in the semifinals.
Austin junior Eli Kaercher, who is 26-9 at 285, received two byes and he will wrestle Jacob Bacon of Hastings in the semifinals.
