The concert has a wide variety of sacred and secular literature, including arrangements and original compositions. Choir members will solo with the handbell choir on flute and bell tree. A quartet of ringers from within the handbell choir will also be featured.

The Westminster Presbyterian Chancel Choir will join the handbells on Derek Hakes’ arrangement of “How Can I Keep From Singing?” The choir plays five octaves of Malmark bells and hand-chimes.

St. Olaf’s 13-member choir is the premier ensemble in a program of three handbell choirs at the college. On campus, the group performs for chapel and church services, student recitals, and an annual spring concert with all the handbell choirs. In addition, they regularly perform off-campus church services and concerts. Fifteen years ago, the group began touring and have performed in many cities in Minnesota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Iowa. They have participated in the critically acclaimed St. Olaf Christmas Festival.
