“This was an important game,” LP head coach Dean DeBoer said. “It sets up the next biggest game of our season against Randolph Thursday night. Saturday was a big win [against Southland] and a big confidence booster and they should be excited. We’re hosting a team with a chance to take the lead on our side of the conference [on Thursday].”

Noah Jiskra had 17 points for LP (12-5 overall, 11-3 SEC) and Josh Royston had 12 points for the Cardinals (1-16 overall, 1-12 SEC).
