Karla (Klassen) Vollmer and Nick Rice have announced their engagement. The proposal came during a trip to Niagria Falls. They have planned an April wedding in Belize.

Karla is the daughter of Matt and Viola Klassen of Adams, Minnesota. Karla was a graduate of Southland High School in 1993, St. Catherine’s University in 1997, and the University of Minnesota in 2004. She is a registered nurse.

Nick is the son of Sonny and Barbara Rice of Taopi, Minnesota, both of whom have passed away. Nick graduated from Southland High School in 1998 and Minnesota State in Mankato in 2009. He is a landscape foreman.
