The second car within a few days was stolen after it was left running unattended.

According to Police Chief Brian Krueger, a 2006 GMC Envoy was taken from the Taco John’s parking lot Wednesday around 9:30 p.m., after the owner went inside to get an order. The owner left the vehicle running.

Upon walking back outside, he saw a white male with an orange coat driving away in his vehicle. The vehicle was recovered at about 11 p.m. the same night, parked legally on Fifth Avenue and Sixth Street Southwest. The engine was cold and the keys were gone, and the car was unoccupied.

Krueger warned drivers not to leave their vehicles running while unattended, as this is not an isolated incident.
