At noon on Friday, we invite our veterans to enjoy a complimentary meal as a small token of gratitude for their service to our country.

The Mower County Senior Center is hosting this event. Veterans bring your veterans ID and please feel free to bring one guest with you and we will give them a complimentary meal with you.

We are having a herb-roasted chicken dinner sponsored by Mayer Funeral Home and catered by Hy-Vee. Veterans day is soon approaching, and we want to acknowledge our veterans.

There will be special patriotic music and a few words by Commander Scott Wiechmann of the VFW. If you would like to come, and help us appreciate our veterans your meal is $6. Please RSVP for this by Thursday morning, so we have a count for the food by either stopping by or calling the front desk at 507-433-2370.

Don’t forget our coffee shop where every day you can have homemade soup for $1 and a sandwich for 50 cents.
