GM up 48-0 in 2nd half of state title game

The Grand Meadow football team is out to a big lead over Edgerton-Ellsworth in the Prep Bowl at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

Superlarks running back Landon Jacobson’s third rushing touchdown, a 7-yard run, put  GM up 48-0 after a two-point conversion run by Christoph Bain.

Jacobson also rushed for a 14-yard touchdown and a 1-yard touchdown.

Quarterback Michael Stejskal has thrown touchdown passes of 21-yards and 56 yards to Cody Ojulu, along with a 57-yard TD pass to Blake Olson. Wyau Richardson has made two field goals.

Grand Meadow’s defense has intercepted Edgerton-Ellsworth quarterback Jake Post four times.

This is the third straight state title game appearance for the Superlarks (13-0 overall), and they’re hoping to finish the season on a high note.

The Flying Dutchmen (12-1 overall) are coming off a 20-13 win over Norman County East/Ulen Hitterdal, and they beat Nicollet 58-18 in the state quarterfinals.
