NFL Picks: The Bears sure know how to quit

Here are the picks:

Buffalo at Miami

This used to be a legitimate rivalry back in the day when Dan Marino was in Miami and Jim Kelly was with the Bills. I know Kyle Orton is a far cry from Kelly and Ryan Tannehill is no Marino, but this is actually a pretty big game for both teams.

With both teams at 5-4, the winner stays in the playoff chase and the loser will move back to .500.

DOLPHINS 27, BILLS 20

Minnesota at Chicago

The Bears couldn’t have looked worse than they have in their last two games. They gave up at least 50 points in both contests.

But the worst thing I saw out of Chicago when Green Bay’s Jarret Boykin was able to run through Chicago’s punt protector and karate kick the ball out of the punter’s hands before he could even get the punt off. The lack of effort shown on that play was unreal.

There certainly is a lot of quit in this Bears team.

VIKINGS 27, BEARS 20

Houston at Cleveland

The Browns have done a good enough job making their fans believe in them, now comes the inevitable collapse that leads to the downward spiral that Browns fans are accustomed to.

TEXANS 21, BROWNS 20

Seattle at Kansas City

Seattle is not the same team on the road and these Chiefs are playing pretty well.

CHIEFS 28, SEAHAWKS 21

Atlanta at Carolina

The Falcons may ending up winning the NFC South by default.

FALCONS 30, PANTHERS 17

Cincinnati at New Orleans

Here’s a battle of two disappointing teams. I don’t see the Saints dropping two home games in a row.

SAINTS 34, BENGALS 27

Tampa Bay at Washington

Josh McCown repeating 1-8 over and over again after last week’s debacle was a little depressing. But he shouldn’t be that surpassed that the Bucs are a terrible team this season. It’s kind of their thing.

REDSKINS 17, BUCS 14

Denver at St. Louis

The Rams have played well against some solid teams this season, but I don’t see them containing Peyton Manning.

BRONCOS 38, RAMS 17

San Francisco at N.Y. Giants

The 49ers will be on a high after escaping New Orleans with a late win.

49ERS 28, GIANTS 17

Oakland at San Diego

The Chargers have had two weeks to think about the embarrassing beatdown the Dolphins gave them.

CHARGERS 31, RAIDERS 17

Detroit at Arizona

The Cardinals may have lost Carson Palmer for the year, and that will hurt them down the road. But with their defense and running game, they’re still one of the best teams in the league.

CARDINALS 17, LIONS 13

Philadelphia at Green Bay

Moving Clay Matthews to middle linebacker may have been just what the doctor ordered for the Packers run defense. They looked a lot better on that side of the ball against Chicago.

PACKERS 27, EAGLES 20

New England at Indianapolis

I’m excited to watch this one. You have Tom Brady, the old vet who is coming in on a tear against Andrew Luck, the youngster on the rise, squaring off in a showdown in Indy.

COLTS 27, PATRIOTS 24

Pittsburgh at Tennessee

The Steelers should bounce back after a humiliating loss to the Jets.

STEELERS 28, TITANS 20

Last week: 9-4; overall: 93-52
