Reichel Foods of Rochester is sponsoring the six winter shows, allowing proceeds from tickets for each show to go to a charitable cause. The first will benefit Beyond the Yellow Ribbon.

“It’s a fundraiser,” Wiechmann said. “All the proceeds from the ticket sales go to beyond the yellow ribbon fundraiser.”

The VFW, 300 Fourth Ave. NE, recently finished a roughly $100,000 renovation project. The stage area was one of the many improvements to the club.

Cosmic, another local band, will play at 8 p.m. on Friday night. Cost is $3 per person and people are asked to bring a food shelf item for the Salvation Army.

The Starlight Lounge Band, which features former Austin residents, will play in Austin at 8 p.m. on Dec. 20 with the Austin High School Jazz Band will opening the show 7 p.m. Tickets will be a freewill donation for the AHS jazz band.

All shows are 18-plus, other than the Dec. 20 jazz show, which will be for people age 15 and up until 9 p.m.
