Bruins fall to Jets in shootout

The Austin Bruins lost their second shootout to the Janesville Jets when they lost 4-3 in Janesville Saturday.

The Jets connected on two of their five shots in the shootout and the Bruins (10-4-7 overall) were 1-for-5.

Janesville forced the extra session when Alex Smith scored a power play goal with 4:08 left in the game.

Trevor Boyd scored in the first period to put Austin up 1-0 and he added a third period goal to put Austin up 3-2. JC Maclean also scored for the Bruins.

Zach Driscoll had 26 saves in the loss for Austin.
