Former Viking Carl Lee will be a part of football camp in Austin Nov. 1

Austin Public Schools, in conjunction with Dream Big 39 Inc., is holding a football camp with former Minnesota Vikings cornerback Carl Lee for all students Nov. 1 at Wescott Field at 1 p.m.

Lee was a three-time All-Pro for the Vikings and he played with Minnesota from 1983 to 1993. He finished his career with 771 tackles and 31 interceptions.

Registration for the camp will begin at noon at Wescott and pre-registration is 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Sterling Main Street. Students will be able to meet Lee and have a photo opportunity with him before the camp begins.

The camp is focused on skill development and there will be no tackling. The coaches from Austin Public schools will be assisting at the camp.

In case of inclement weather, the camp will take place in the Ellis Middle School Gym.
