Austin police arrested two men for disorderly conduct on Monday after witnesses reported a brawl involving a knife at the 600 block of Eighth Street Northeast.

Police Capt. Dave McKichan said it’s unclear if the men were actually fighting, though witnesses say one of the suspects allegedly made movements as though he had a knife.

Officers arrested a 27-year-old and a 58-year-old after neither man cooperated with police on what actually happened. When police arrived, the men were loudly arguing, McKichan said. One of the men was legally intoxicated, according to McKichan.
