The victim, 38-year-old Tyrone Maddox, was taken to the Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin with multiple gunshot wounds, according to Police Chief Brian Krueger. Krueger said Maddox was airlifted to Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Marys Campus in Rochester. Police did not have an update on Maddox’s condition Wednesday morning.

A witness, who asked not to be named, said he or she heard gunshots before police arrived.

“I said, ‘That was gunfire, wasn’t it?’” the witness said.
