Packer girls soccer team scores a tie at AL

The Austin girls soccer team answered the bell after allowing a goal to Albert Lea Tuesday.

The Packers came right back and scored one of their own and they finished with a 1-1 tie at AL.

The Tigers (8-3-2 overall, 6-3-1 Big Nine) opened the scoring in the first half and Sydney Murphy scored just two minutes later off a corner kick to tie the game for the Packers (1-7-5 overall, 1-6-3 Big Nine).

“We played amazing and were aggressive tonight,” Austin head coach Enrique Camarena-Corzo said. “The girls did not give up after giving up that early goal.”

Austin had six shots on goal and Chloe Summerfield made 15 saves in net for the Packers.
