Hayfield’s Tempel wins home cross country invite

Hayfield senior Gabe Tempel had a big day as he won the 12-team Hayfield cross country invite Thursday.

Tempel finished with a time of 17:36.8.

GMLOS’s McKenzie Kirtz took second in the 13-team girls race and Pacelli’s Kayla Christopherson finished sixth.

The BP boys took third as a team and GMLOS was seventh.

The GMLOS girls finished ninth and Hayfield girls were 11th.
