Bruins go unbeaten in NAHL Showcase for second straight year

The Austin Bruins may be young this year, but that didn’t stop them from sweeping the NAHL Showcase and winning it for the second straight year.

The Bruins topped Fairbanks 9-4 in Blaine Saturday to finish off a Showcase that saw them win all four of their games by at least three goals.

Austin (4-0 overall) trailed 3-1 early in the second period, but five different players scored goals for Austin over a 10-minute stretch to put the Bruins in control against the team that ended their season in the Robertson Cup Finals last season.
